
An audience of 500 enjoyed an evening of political insights and reminiscences with a giant of the labour movement Tony Benn at the Gaiety Theatre, Wednesday 21.
The 87-year old former MP and lifelong political activist was interviewed on stage about the highlights of his political career, before a lively question-and-answer session with the audience.
Topics ranged from his views on current problems in the middle east to nuclear disarmament and the UK coalition government.
Mr Benn's visit was organised by the Isle of Man Sporting and Dining Club and sponsored by Appleby.
