IOM could join other international agencies
It needs to be all or nothing when it comes to ID checks at Island ports, according to Clare Bettison.
Checks are currently not compulsory at either the sea terminal or Ronaldsway, unless the passenger is travelling with hold luggage.
The East Douglas member believes it may be worth joining up with other international agencies to have tighter control over who comes into the Island.
But she says checking photo ID for the sake of it is pointless:
