SSF not SRR
Changes to the way government handles residents' data should not be a cause for concern, according to a minister.
The Smart Services Framework policy - previously known as the Single Resident Record - was given the go-ahead by Tynwald this week.
Rather than a centralised pool of citizen files, the SSF will instead link existing records to ensure agencies have accurate information.
Government insists sensitive information will be protected.
