New currency rolls in next month
Some significant changes are coming when the latest set of Manx money comes into circulation on 10 April.
The updated set will see a five pound coin in official use for the first time, but there will be no 1p and 2p coins and the round pound will remain for now.
Expert and collector Mike Southall is releasing a new edition of his book on the history of Manx coinage to coincide with this.
He told Ed Oldham there have been Manx five pound coins for many years, but not in general use:
