Competition will be streamed online
Five of the top ten chess players in the world will be at the Villa Marina for the next nine days.
They are competing in the Isle of Man International open competition, which has attracted around 160 players from 35 countries.
Included in that list is world number one and reigning world champion, 'grand master' Magnus Carlsen.
The tournament will be streamed online all over the world by co-sponsors chess.com and on the iominternationalchess.com website.
