A group who want to raise a billion pounds through a public funding project have now raised over a thousand pounds.
The Moraceans and their spokesman Ian James Clanton, who prefers to be known as HM The Sole, say that money would enable them to construct an ocean habitat - known as an EGG or Ecological Geophysical Galleon - that would not only offer research facilities but also provide a home for ambassadors from every nation.
They are also trying to secure The Castle Mona, which they see as important to their plans.
HM The Sole says they want to involve the Manx people in their plans.
