First time Harris has qualified for the main draw
Isle of Man tennis player Billy Harris has made Manx tennis history by securing a place in the US Open.
That's despite the former Albany and Castletown member losing to Hong Kong's Coleman Wong in his third qualifying match yesterday (22 August).
The world number 151 has instead secured a 'lucky loser entry' - meaning he was picked to fill a spot after players withdrew from the tournament last-minute.
He's scheduled to face world number 25, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, on Monday (25 August).
It marks the first time Harris has qualified for the main draw of the US Open.
UPDATE: Their clash has now been confirmed to take place on Tuesday 26 August at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York.
