Synthetic waste causing many issues
Pictures of a bird which suffered an unpleasant fate due to plastic waste are being used to raise awareness of the problem.
Manx Wild Bird Aid has shared photographs of an oystercatcher found near Mooragh Park in Ramsey last week, which had become entangled in plastic netting.
After it was discovered the fibre had cut one of its feet clean off, the bird was put down.
Margaret Cole from the charity is urging the public to think about disposing of plastic safely.
