Right to petition 'powerful statement of democracy'
The Bishop of Sodor and Man, Peter Eagles, experienced his first Tynwald Day last week.
Bishop Peter was consecrated in York last June and enthroned at the Cathedral on the Island in September.
The Lord Bishop is a political role, as he holds a seat in the Legislative Council.
Speaking to Manx Radio shortly after Thursday's ceremony, he said he had been impressed with the process and the event itself.
