Peter Eagles is the Island's 87th Bishop
The new head of the Church of England on the Island says Manx nationhood, history and tradition are things to be cherished.
The Right Reverend Peter Eagles was installed as the 87th Bishop of Sodor and Man last weekend.
He'll now oversee the affairs of 45 churches and 27 parishes, as well as taking a seat in the Legislative Council.
Bishop Eagles says his role within the church adds another element to the Island's independence as a nation:
