
Bishop Robert has been responding to the news a petition for redress of grievance presented at Tynwald on Monday calls for him to be removed from Legislative Council.
The man who presented the petition, Chris McAvoy, told Manx Radio the Lord Bishop should not be able to tell people how to vote, or tell them they're speaking for too long, as he's not elected.
The latter comment relates to a motion put forward by the bishop which suggested time limits in Tynwald.
Tynwald members voted in favour of the move and it will be trialled at next week's sitting of the court.
