Motorists urged to take care as the Mountain Road closes and icy conditions affect routes across the Island
Police say they’ve received several reports of black ice on roads across the Island this morning. (10 January)
The Isle of Man Constabulary is urging motorists to take extra care and drive to the conditions if travelling.
The Department of Infrastructure is aware of the situation and is monitoring conditions.
Meanwhile, the Mountain Road has been closed because of black ice, with the closure due to be reviewed later today.
Bus services on parts of the Island are disrupted due to icy road conditions.
Bus Vannin says the 10.05am Service 8S from Port St Mary to the Sound and the 10.40am return journey will not operate, with services expected to resume from the 11.14am departure.
