A blue plaque to mark the one of the family homes of influential artist and designer Archibald Knox in Douglas will be unveiled this week on the 150th anniversary of his birth.
Knox's family spent time living at 70 Athol Street, where a small garden has been created and named in his honour.
It will be only the second of the prestigious blue plaques ever bestowed by Douglas council - the other is at the birthplace of the Bees Gees in St Catherine's Drive.
The council is planning a further tribute to Knox in one of the sunken gardens on Douglas promenade.

The plaque will be unveiled at 10am at the Archibald Knox garden in Athol Street on Wednesday.
