Rushen Heritage Trust behind project
A new book celebrating the maritime history of Port St Mary will be launched next week.
"Living with the Sea" is the latest pubication from Rushen Heritage Trust and has been co-written by 10 authors.
Professor Hugh Davidson from the Trust - who's also one of the authors - says the book has been three years in the making.
He adds each of the ten authors concentrates on specific parts of the village's history between 1829 and 1979:
The launch will take place at Port St Mary Town Hall on Thursday, 17 October at 6.30pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
It's been published with the support of Culture Vannin, Gough Ritchie Trust and Manx National Heritage.
