MHK says it would unfairly target responsible drinkers
An MHK has justified his concerns over proposals to reduce the Island's drink-drive limit from 80 to 50mg.
Glenfaba member Geoffrey Boot raised the issue in the House of Keys yesterday (Tues), saying it could have a negative impact on the hospitality trade and unfairly clamp down on 'responsible drinkers'.
Mr. Boot believes statistics from Scotland, where the limit was reduced in 2014, demonstrate the potential effects of tightening legislation on business:
The public deserves far better than the dysfunctional shambles it's seeing
Payments to Isle of Man Meats board more than triple over three years
Coastal overtopping expected either side of high tide
