A former MHK and long-time observer of the Manx political scene says plans to redraw constituency boundaries are a big step forward for electoral democracy on the Island.
Charles Cain says the move towards 12, two-seat constituencies for House of Keys elections is long overdue, giving voters equal representation and allocating equal numbers of voters to each MHK.
Mr Cain represented Ramsey for five years from 1981 and was Manx Radio's political commentator during the 2011 general election.
Under the plans Peel and Castletown, currently single-seat town constituencies, will enlarge to include the rural areas around them.

The revised boundaries and maps can be viewed online at: gov.im/cso/brc.
They're available at commissioners' offices and libraries around the Island.
