Authority to manage 37 DOI properties
Braddan Commissioners has assumed day to day management and maintenance of more than thirty government-owned homes in the parish.
The local authority will take on the 37 of the Department of Infrastructure's public sector properties in the Cronk Grianagh Estate.
The move makes Braddan the second authority to take control of DOI stock, after Peel assumed control of 20 homes.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer said the handover reinforces the 'spirit of collaboration' between government and local authorities.
Tenants of the properties will be made aware before the transfer is completed, and have been asked to complete a satisfaction survey.
