It's hoped plans for a dedicated breast unit in the Isle of Man will be finished before the end of the year.
Last night invited guests, including the Lieutenant Governor, breast cancer survivors and current patients gathered at Noble's Hospital to hear more about the proposals.
The unit will cost £1.5 million pounds, and the fundraising campaign is being run by the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Breast Surgeon Millie Bello.
The idea is to provide both a screening unit and symptomatic breast clinic in one place.
Architect Mark Savage says they're making good progress, but admits there's still lots to do.
