Initial work on a local Breast Unit will begin this summer.
The idea began life as a £650,000 refurbished breast clinic, but has grown into a goal for a £1.5million purpose built breast unit at Noble's Hospital.
The Manx Breast Cancer Support Group, along with surgeon Millie Bello, proposed their initial fundraising aim in November last year.
Now a bigger project than initially thought, enabling work will begin on June 16 and fundraising will continue.
The charity's chairman Julie Stokes says they've increased their target after such promising donations:
