Heron and Brearley scotch rumours
Rumours that the oldest pub on the Island is to close have been scotched by operators Heron and Brearley.
There have been several claims on social media that the Mitre in Kirk Michael was to close in the new year - though open again for the TT period.
However, a spokesperson for the brewery on Friday morning denied that there were any plans to close the iconic TT landmark pub in the foreseeable future.
