MNFU uncertain over industry future
Post-Brexit trade deals could lead to an 'unacceptable' drop in food safety and quality, the head of the Manx National Farmers Union has claimed.
Brian Brumby agrees with his UK counterpart, Minette Batters of the NFU, who's warned that basing deals on WTO rules once the UK leaves the EU may lead to a fall in standards.
The Island's agricultural policies are closely tied to the UK, and Mr Brumby says we must pay close attention to anything which is proposed across the water.
