Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister, Geoffrey Boot, says an exit means more money for the industry as the UK places restrictions on EU operators, who currently have access rights to British catch.
The Minister and his director of Fisheries insist work is ongoing to ensure Westminster gives the Manx industry a fair deal.
The deadline for ending talks on UK Brexit terms is the 29th March, 2019.
Mr Boot says there's one obvious benefit:

Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
