S100 clean-up - then back to the beaches on 14th
Beach Buddies will conduct its annual clean-up of the Billown circuit this morning, prior to racing next week in the Southern 100.
The charity has carried out this task since 2014 and formed a strong link with the Southern 100 organisers, removing rubbish from all around the 4.2 mile circuit prior to practices and racing.
This year’s session takes place at 10.30am and will last approximately one hour, with those attending meeting point in the car park at the Southern 100 headquarters.
Organiser Bill Dale says it's not recommended that young children take part in the event.
Meanwhile, Bill says there will be no beach cleaning event this weekend, with the Buddies returning to action next Sunday (July 14th) at a venue to be announced.
