Charity in action to recover Big Beach Bin
Beach Buddies are in action this morning (Tues 27th) - though not in their usual beach-cleaning mode.
Organiser Bill Dale says he's hoping enough volunteers will turn up to help pull one of their Big Beach Bins back into position in the Poyll Doohey car park.
The bin was discovered on its side in the river recently.
It's hoped a rope can be attached to it and a truck used to pull it out.
Those interested in helping are being asked to meet at 11am where the bin currently is - around half a mile below the White Bridge and a quarter of a mile upstream from Ramsey Bridge.
There will be hot drinks afterwards for those taking part.
