Treasury minister says it's for 'various modifications for Manxman'
More than £3 million has been allocated for improvement work to a Douglas pier to enable a new passenger ferry to use it.
Treasury Minister Alex Allinson has provided more information on capital projects – funded by revenue and not reserves – as part of today’s Budget.
An additional £2.3 million is being given to the Sexual Assault Referral Centre – due to the fact it has been ‘redesigned and repositioned’ – and almost half a million for temporary classrooms.
The Steam Packet has previously stated that Manxman is ‘fully compatible’ with all ports that it operates to and from.
