DHA chief officer says there's a huge turnover in staffing as a result
The chief constable can't deliver policing on the Island how he wants because of budgetary issues, according to the chief officer of the Department of Home Affairs.
Dan Davies told a Tynwald committee that Russ Foster sees a number of areas of financial risk within the constabulary due to the structure of its budget.
Earlier this year, the department had to ask for an additional £2.2m to cover overspending in the 2023-24 financial year.
Mr Davies says it's impacting staffing within the force:
