Historian calls for proper registration process
The government must develop a clear strategy on giving historic Island buildings registered status.
So says Peter Kelly of the Isle of Man Victorian Society - he's concerned about the lack of action being taken to save some 'culturally significant' properties.
It follows a decision by the Planning Committee not to list the Wool Centre on Peel Road in Douglas, as well as similar uncertainty over The Nunnery.
Mr. Kelly says a proper registration process would create better safeguards:

Immigration changes designed to stop exploitation by 'bad eggs'
Plantation wood, telegraph poles and Satnav to be discussed in the House of Keys
Contingency budget for horse tram tracks 'significantly increased'
MHK to seek re-election in Arbory, Castletown and Malew
