Isle of Man Transport appeals for public to respect its workers
Isle of Man Transport is urging passengers to respect its workers over the festive period after one of its bus drivers was assaulted.
Police were called out and a man was arrested after the driver was targeted while on duty.
The Island's public transport authority says these type of incidents are rare, but that it serves as a reminder for those using the buses to respect all staff during this busy time.
The organisation confirmed the driver was ok following the incident.
Police say a man has now been charged and the case is a reminder that people should respect all staff and help ensure the safety of passengers.
