A union official says a TT bus strike isn't inevitable.
This morning, the union Unite announced industrial action would begin on Saturday, May 25 before practice week and end on Wednesday, June 5, in the middle of race week.
The walkout will hit the Island’s roads when they’re at their busiest, and will also affect GCSE and A-level students sitting exams.
It’s the latest move in the long-running row over changes to terms and conditions which the government says would save £300,000 a year.
Regional industrial officer Eric Holmes says the action can still be averted:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
Data breach impact rises sharply as cyber incidents affect thousands on Isle of Man
