Bus Vannin announces timetable changes 

It comes into effect on Tuesday (22 April)

Changes to some Bus Vannin timetables will come into effect next week.

The company says minor changes have been made to improve commuter journeys during the week from Monday to Friday, though most of the alterations relate to Saturdays and Sundays.

Details of the changes, which come into effect on the 22nd of April, are:

Service 1

The 0751 journey on Mondays to Fridays will depart from Nobles Hospital 4 minutes earlier at 0747 to ensure a timely arrival in Douglas.

 Service 2/2a/11/11a/12/12a

A slight reduction in morning journeys before 0900 on a Saturday.

Changes to most journey departure times on a Sunday, however the 30 minute frequency between Derby Castle and Castletown is maintained.

 Service 3a

The 0910 departure from Ramsey on Sundays will leave at 0900 to ensure an arrival in Douglas by 1000.

 Service 4/4b/4n

The 1255 4n Douglas to Peel/Niarbyl and 1408 Service 4b Peel to Douglas on Mondays to Fridays will no longer operate.  The 1315 service 4b from Douglas will operate as a 4/4n to continue serving Glen Maye and Dalby.

 Service 6

The 1837 and 1937 Douglas to Peel journeys on Fridays and Saturdays, to operate as Service 6f via Foxdale between Glen Vine and The Hope.

 Service 14

The current 1455 Douglas departure (schools/Tuesdays & Thursdays school holidays) will operate 10 minutes earlier at 1445.

 Service 14b

The 1015 and 1215 journeys on Mondays to Fridays will operate as Service 14c to return from Cooil Road via Quarterbridge and Peel Road, and not Westmoreland Road, to avoid duplication with Service 4b journeys arriving in Douglas.

 Service 15

The Service 15’s on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, are re-routed to operate from Loch Promenade and Broadway to Victoria Road to reduce journey times between Douglas and Onchan.

 Service 18a

On Sundays and Public Holidays, a shorted route to Andreas and Jurby will replace the 0745 18k Bank Holiday journey (now 0755 ex Ramsey) and the 1730 Service 17k.

The 1730 Service 18a to operate every Sunday and on Public Holidays.

 Service 19c

The 0740 school day journey will depart 5 minutes earlier at 0735 and operate 5 minutes earlier throughout.

 Service 21b

The Mondays to Saturdays 1705 journey will operate 5 minutes later at 1710 to better serve workers at the IOM Business Park.

 Service 25

The 0735 journey on Mondays to Fridays will depart 5 minutes earlier at 0730 and operate 5 minutes earlier throughout.

 The revised bus timetables can be viewed online and printed copies will be available from Saturday 19 April across various sites around the island including the Welcome Centre, Ramsey Bus Station, the House of Manannan, the information desk at Ronaldsway Airport and all IOM Railways Stations.
