Passenger reports 'really upsetting incident' on promenade
Bus Vannin has told Manx Radio it’s investigating after claims that a woman and baby fell as they were disembarking a bus on Douglas Promenade.
It follows a post on Facebook from the person involved asking for advice after the ‘really upsetting incident’ on the 12A bus on Monday (27 April).
The woman explained that when she attempted to get off with her pram the driver didn’t lower the vehicle and the stroller ‘tipped over’ and her leg became trapped.
She claimed the driver ‘stayed in his seat’ and didn’t attempt to check if she and her baby were OK.
The woman says her husband has submitted a ‘formal complaint’ to Bus Vannin and has urged drivers to be ‘more careful in situations like this’.
In a statement Bus Vannin said: "Bus Vannin is investigating the incident."
