Treasury has no plans for relief for businesses
VAT registered entertainment and hospitality businesses owe the Manx Government more than £2.5 million in unpaid tax.
Out of 458 companies there are 79 which have a VAT debt that is over three months old.
The total debt, as of 30 June 2026, is £2,836,163.
Treasury says despite this there are currently no plans for relief for this sector.
The statistics were provided as part of a Tynwald question - you can find out more HERE.
But does government need to provide more realistic support for those struggling?
