Manx Care urges patients to seek treatment elsewhere if possible
Noble's Hospital is urging patients not to attend the Emergency Department if they can seek treatment elsewhere.
Manx Care says the department is experiencing longer than usual wait times due to the large number of people who are attending the facility.
Those with injuries and illnesses like dislocations or breaks, minor head injuries and infections are being urged to go to the Minor Injuries Unit at Ramsey and District Cottage Hospital instead, while common illnesses can be dealt with by a community pharmacist.
GP and MEDS treatment is also available, along with the Community Dental Service for those without a dentist, and QWELL and Kooth for patients dealing with low mood or anxiety.
However, the Island's healthcare provider stresses that those who do require urgent or emergency treatment should continue to seek treatment.
