
Two former councillors will battle it out to take up seats on Douglas Council again.
Elizabeth Quirk, of Alexander Drive and Thomas Gelling of Barrule Road will run for the vacant seat after Alan Quirk resigned from the local authority.
They’ll go head-to-head in the by-election which will take place on Thursday, October 31.
The contest takes place in Athol ward, currently served by Karen Angela and Stan Cain.
