Loss of services 'sad' says TravelWatch
Passengers affected by Citywing going into liquidation will be able to find out more about where they stand today (Monday).
The UK Civil Aviation Authority is due to release information and guidance via its website: www.caa.co.uk/home/
Many people were left unable to travel following Citywing directors' announcement on Friday night that the ticket seller was going out of business with flights cancelled with immediate effect.
There are also concerns for others who have flights booked in the coming weeks and months and are seeking refunds and need to make alternative arrangements.
Citywing has said more information about refunds will be released once a liquidator has been appointed.
Terry Liddiard from the passenger watchdog TravelWatch says it’s sad news and, given the size of the operation, there was a certain inevitability once Citywing’s problems ran into a second week.
