Guardian newspaper publishes article
The Calf of Man has been named by a UK newspaper as one of the small islands most worth visiting.
The Guardian has featured the list of ten in its travel supplement this weekend.
Northumbrian Holy Island, the Hebridean Isle of Harris, and Rathlin off County Antrim also make the unusual best of.
Guest author Robert Penn describes the Calf as 'a square mile of heather, gorse, cliffs, sea spray and soaring birds' most notable for its ornithological interest.
Would-be visitors are given plenty of information about getting to the remote rock.
Overseas tourist interest has been growing in the Calf during recent years - initially spiking after a visit from BBC Radio 4's resident birdwatcher David Lindo in 2016.
