Posts could offer work-life balance
If you're looking for a quieter life in the new year and have the requisite skills, Manx National Heritage may have something for you.
It's looking for an estates warden and an ornithological warden to work on the Calf of Man between March and November.
The island, around one square mile in size, lies off the southern tip of the Isle of Man and is a nature reserve and bird observatory.
The ornithological warden is responsible for monitoring and ringing the Calf of Man's resident populations of Chough, Manx Shearwater, Peregrine, Hen Harriers, Storm Petrel, Shag, along with other passage migrant and sea bird species.
Meanwhile, the estate warden's role encompasses habitat management and hosting visitors to the Calf.
The successful applicants will live in accommodation on the island for the March to November period.
Anyone who's interested in either role needs to apply to Manx National Heritage by Friday, January 8.
