MLC hails election outcome
The candidate who topped the poll in yesterday’s Legislative Council election has hailed the result of the contest.
Jane Poole-Wilson was returned to the upper house after gaining 22 out of a possible 24 votes.
All five seats were filled by women.
However, the solicitor – first elected last May - says the new diverse look of the upper house should be applauded.
