'Chief Minister put in impossible situation'
Former Health Minister Rob Callister says his sacking was unjust and unfair.
In an open letter to constituents posted online today he says he wasn't given the support or a genuine opportunity to resolve many of the issues within the department.
Mr Callister says the Chief Minister, Alfred Cannan, was put in an impossible situation having to choose between him and the other departmental members who he claims gave the Chief Minister an ultimatum.
The former Minister went on to claim the Department members didn't understand or appreciate the complexity of a Department that had no Chief Executive in post when he took up the position, and was clearly understaffed, under-resourced and under extreme pressure for long periods of time.
