Alternative to Liverpool sought
The head of a local business organisation says he will continue to push for an Isle of Man-Fleetwood sea route to be re-established.
Steve England of Manx Business Reviews has been running an online campaign and e-petition calling for the link.
He says a genuine, practical alternative to Liverpool needs to be found, given the doubts over the future of the Steam Packet's berth there.
He doesn't feel Holyhead on Anglesey is particularly viable, given the onward road links, and thinks the Lancashire port is far better suited:
