Says he'd donate wages to charity
A candidate standing for election in Peel’s House of Keys by-election says he’ll give his wages to charity if he’s successful.
David Pownall will face LibVann candidate Penny Hardman, commissioner Ray Hamer and dentist Leslie Hanson in the polls on September 10.
Mr Pownall says he’d donate his salary to improve cancer diagnostics on the Island, claiming the cash – up to £40,000 - would help the Department of Health and Social Care.
But what would he live on, in that case?
