Singer maintains drug is dangerous
A former MHK has voiced concern over a proposed 'rethink' of cannabis laws in the Isle of Man.
Leonard Singer worked as a pharmacist before forging a political career - and while he supports further research into the drug's medicinal benefits, he's opposed to its recreational use.
Cannabis can be used to alleviate the symptoms of conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis, but some patients say they're 'terrified' of being prosecuted for doing so.
Several figures, including Ramsey MHK Dr Alex Allinson, the home affairs minister and the chief constable have called for a review on the Island's stance in future.
But Mr Singer says he's concerned - a view he says is shared by the British Medical Association:
