Treasury Minister questions MLC figures
Treasury Minister Alfred Cannan is disputing figures used by David Cretney MLC on the subject of free school meals.
Currently 18% of pupils receive free school meals and Mr Cretney said that doesn't compare well to the situation in the UK.
He also stated it was an indicator of wider poverty issues on the Island.
Alfred Cannan says the statistics used by Mr Cretney distort the situation and it's like comparing apples with pears.
