House of Keys currently considering clauses of bill
The Chief Minister is to bring forward an amendment that could see proposed assisted dying legislation put to a public vote.
Potential changes to Dr Alex Allinson's Assisted Dying Bill are currently being discussed in the House of Keys.
During his remarks Alfred Cannan said a referendum may be needed to decide whether it should be implemented here.
He told members there comes a 'time and a place when the people need their say':
