Overspend gripped but pressures continue
It's been suggested the Department of Health and Social Care may have to seek funding beyond its budget again next year.
The Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan gave those views to a Tynwald committee last week.
An overspend of £11.1 million in 2016 prompted calls for the DHSC to 'get a grip' on its finances.
Mr Cannan told the committee he was pleased with the Department's approach since then, but that many of the same cost pressures remained.
He said a clearer picture would emerge later in the year - but praised the work done so far:
