Man sustains serious injuries
A man has sustained serious injuries after crashing on the Mountain Mile, resulting in the car catching fire.
The incident happened yesterday (Sat 8 Aug) at around 2:30pm, no other vehicles were involved.
Police, fire, and ambulance services all attended the scene, where the driver was treated and the road was closed for several hours while collision investigation work was undertaken.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information relating to the owner of a Red Volkswagen Polo, which was driving in the direction of Douglas shortly prior to the incident, to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
