More than 50 cars have been sprayed with a corrosive substance, seemingly from a moving vehicle.
It happened around the south of the Island last night (Sunday).
There is a warning that not only does the substance damage paint work but it could be harmful if it gets onto you.
It appears a car was driven around between 7pm and 10pm spraying two substances onto parked cars as it passed.
Numerous reports have been given to the police who are now asking for anyone who has to remove the substance and repair their vehicle to be cautious in the first instance and get in touch with them.
That should give them a better idea of the route the vandals used.
Police say: 'Both liquids have caused extensive damage to the paint work of the vehicles. Please ensure caution is used if removing the liquids from vehicles and preferably contact the police for advice before doing so.'
