Driver freed by fire crews in Ballaugh
Fire crews were called out to Ballaugh last night to help free a driver whose car had been hit by a falling tree.
Teams from Kirk Michael and Ramsey were dispatched to Ballamona Road at around twenty-to-nine.
The vehicle had two people inside when the tree hit.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service says the passenger managed to free themselves and both individuals were transferred to an awaiting ambulance.
Saturday (9 December) saw the Isle of Man hit by severe gales. A number of trees and power lines were reportedly down around the Island.
