DHSC prepared for loss of Ramsey facility
The closure of an Island care home didn't come as a surprise according to health bosses.
It's been announced this week that King's Reach in Ramsey will shut its doors for good on 1 October.
Thirty-six residents at the facility will now need to be rehomed as a result.
Director of Adult Social Services Cath Hayhow says they knew the home was vulnerable to closure:
