
The Manx Rainbow Association says it has made encouraging headway in its first year, raising issues which were once taboo in the Island
The MRA has brought together a number of LGBT groups under one umbrella and next month will hold its first pride ball.
The event will celebrate the association's progress raising awareness of issues facing the Island's minority lesbian, gay, bi and trans-gendered communities.
Earlier this month, the Rainbow Association won the Best Float award in the Douglas carnival parade.
The association's Lee Vorster says the accolade means a great deal and boosted the confidence of younger members who took a big step that day:
